Anita Sarkeesian, a Canadian/American media critic is also a popular public speech writer. She is the founder of Feminist Frequency the website which provides commentary and videos on the representation of women in pop culture. Anita Sarkeesian, a Canadian-American journalist and critic who has won prizes for her work, is a feminist blogger. Feminist Frequency examines the way women are represented in the popular culture. She's determined to dismantle stereotypes about women and how they are portrayed in popular culture. Furthermore she has a mission to increase awareness about online harassment targeted at women, and other those who are marginalized. Holding a master's degree in political and social thought from York University Sarkeesian is also an extremely sought-after public speaker and she has delivered speech at the TEDxWomen Festival and The United Nations' Broadband Working Group on Gender. Interested in issues concerning gender identities and feminisms from at an early age, she created her website Feminist Frequency in the year 2009 when she was studying at the University.
